STAIRS

The concept:

My upper stairs were designed around the theme of the Off-White, transparent luggage bag from which I derived the word 'air'. The upper staircase utilises glass on its tread and railing, and thin metal support beams to provide a feeling of weightlessness that is implied by air. Meanwhile, the lower stairs were themed around the word "geometric" taking inspiration from the interestingly shaped and organic feel of Bernabei Freeman's pop light. The entire staircase is wooden to promote a warm and comforting sense, additionally, the staircase grows wider at the base to welcome in visitors.
